Robert Frank and Todd Webb: Across America, 1955 (February 11–July 31, 2024), organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, brings together the photographs that Robert Frank and Todd Webb created separately during their 1955 Guggenheim Foundation Fellowships, supporting cross-country surveys. Juxtaposing both projects for the first time, this exhibition reveals the impossibility of capturing a singular vision of “America.”
