We are excited to share our exhibitions and remarkable collection with you. To ensure the health and well-being of our guests and staff, we have put into place a number ​​of guidelines to make sure your visit is not only fun and inspiring but also safe.​ 

​Travel Advisory Notice: It is the expectation that guests will familiarize themselves with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts COVID-19 Travel Advisory and comply with the requirements, travel form, quarantine, and/or testing, as outlined. More information can be found at



Before visiting the museum, please note the following:

​The Addison is open to the public on Friday and Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Admission is still free, but advance reservations are required. You will be asked to present your ticket to an attendant at the museum, complete a sym​ptom survey, and attest that you are in ​compliance with the Massachusetts travel order before entering. Note that the first floor galleries are closed for installation until May 8. 

PA Community Members: Beginning April 7, those who are part of the campus Covid testing cohort are invited to visit the museum on Wednesdays between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm, no prior reservation required. Come on in! Those who are not part of the campus testing cohort are invited to visit during public hours; reserve your time using the link above. 

The museum will be open for class visits by appointment only, Tuesdays through Thursdays; classes can be scheduled by emailing
​Although the Addison Gallery is open, the rest o​​f the Phillips Academy campus is closed to the public. ​Please head straight to the museum when arriving, and return directly to your vehicle when leaving. Note that masks must be worn at all times when on the campus, outdoors and indoors​.
​Visitor bag and coat check is closed. ​Bags larger than 12 x 14 inches are not permitted in the museum. Please ​leave valuables at home and bring only those items you can comfortably carry.

While at the museum, all visitors and staff must comply with the following health and safety measures:

​Face coverings must be worn over the nose and mouth at all times.

​Maintain 6 feet distance between others.

​Follow directional signage.

​​​​​Wa​​sh/​sanitize hands frequently; h​and sanitizing stations have​​ been installed throughout the museum.
​ ​​Additional safety measures and precautions at the Addison:
  • We are operating at reduced capacity.
  • Enhanced cleaning measures have been implemented.
  • All on-site programs, including group tours, have been suspended until further notice. See upcoming virtual programming​.
  • Elevator capacity has been limited to allow for physical distancing.
  • Staff are participating in daily health screenings.​​
