Commentary

The Addison holds the largest institutional collection of the work of the famed American figurative painter and Phillips Academy alumnus George Tooker (PA 1938). The artist generously donated his personal archive of 227 working drawings and preliminarysketches to the Addison in 1996 to form the George Tooker Study Archive.
