Commentary

In 1985, Jim Goldberg was commissioned by the Cambridge Art Council of Massachusetts to create site-specific installation in the Neville Manor Nursing Home. The resulting body of work also became a touring exhibition that blended sound, artifacts, and sculptural elements. The Addison’s pictures incorporate text handwritten by the subjects of each photograph.
