February Vacation Drop-In Family Day
On Wednesday, February 22, during public school vacation week, the Addison will host a Drop-In Family Day with activities for children of all ages. Join us any time between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes at the Addison and find out how exhibitions come together.
There will be two presentations by Addison staff:
10:30 am | What's in the Box?
See how artwork is packed and shipped to other museums around the world in this interactive demonstration with Jim Sousa, the Addison’s Registrar.
11:30 am | Ask the Curator
Ever wonder how our shows come together? Ask the Addison’s Associate Director and Curator, Susan Faxon, any questions that you have about where she gets her ideas and her process for putting together an exhibition.
Ongoing activities include:
Wall Text Station
Try your hand at applying wall text and learn how to write labels for your own masterpieces.
Curate your own miniature exhibition using our new magnetic gallery boards.
The event is free and open to the public. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. For any questions about this program or about visiting the Addison with your family, please contact Christine Jee (firstname.lastname@example.org | 978-749-4198).
