This exhibition examined the work of artists such as Jenny Holzer, Glenn Ligon, Lorna Simpson, and David Wojnarowicz, who criticized the dominant culture of late 20th-century America by weaponizing their artistic practices, holding a mirror up to the injustices of their time to combat apathy and provoke change.
