On Campus
The Addison is located on the beautiful 500-acre campus of Phillips Academy, an independent boarding high school. The Academy welcomes members of the surrounding community and visitors from across the country to its campus year round.

The campus has numerous lawns, tree-lined walkways, and historic buildings and sites that are well worth a visit. On campus, visit the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library, which houses 90,000 volumes among original wood carved paneling, moldings, and marble, now nearly 90 years old [please note: the library is closed for renovations through September 2019]; the 125-acre Moncrieff-Cochran Bird Sanctuary, whose pathways winding through woodlands and among ponds reveal a variety of flora and fauna year round; and the gravesite of Harriet Beecher Stowe (who lived on campus while her husband was a professor of theology at Andover, from 1852 to 1864).

For dining options on campus, visit Samuel's restaurant at the Andover Inn, located on Chapel Avenue directly across the street from the Addison. Samuel's offers classic New England fare with a contemporary twist. Museum visitors may pick up a coupon at the Addison's front desk for 10% off food purchases at Samuel's.
