Developing a Project

Projects begin with a theme connecting the Addison’s exhibitions or collections to a specific topic, curriculum, or interest of a class. A project can include Addison visits, interactions with artists, connecting with community resources, photography and writing, and the presentation of student work through public exhibitions and publications.

The multidisciplinary nature of projects offers engaging and empowering ways to connect students with their own lives and community while meeting curricular objectives in art, math, local history, social studies, science, nature, literature, and language arts.

If you are considering developing a project, you may see samples of past projects, peruse our Teacher Guides, or contact the education department to discuss the exciting possibilities.
